Objectives: Demonstrate how to take a blood pressure by auscultation

Equipment: Blood pressure cuff

Stethoscope

Instructions: - Group your students into pairs. One group may have three people in odd-numbered student groups. - Demonstrate how to take a blood pressure by auscultation. Have students follow along on their skills sheet. Limit this demonstration to no longer than 5 minutes. - Have students take BP’s on each other. They should document the values obtained on their skills sheet.
