Deployment: DO NOT LECTURE – your students should be working hands-on within 5 minutes of arriving

Deploy your students in one team – a child manikin should be patient, the rest rescuers with one team leader. The patient should sit and tripod - have them transition through the scenario on the back of this sheet like any other scenario from a scenario lab day. Debriefing: Give students feedback on the case after it is complete. Some points to discuss: - Did they do a full assessment including ABC’s?

Did they administer oxygen?

Did they take vital signs?

- Did they focus in on the complaint by assessing the skin for hives/itching?

- Did they remove the bee stinger? (credit card method)

- Did they give this patient a PEDIATRIC EPI-PEN? He meets criteria for that (< age 4)
