Student and early career event Students and early career speech pathologists in NSW and ACT, (in their first three years of practice) are invited to attend a free networking event to meet Nichola Harris and Trish Johnson from National Office, as well as Christie Boucher from Guild Insurance and Frances Amman, representing the SPA Early Career Reference Group. Thursday 28 February, 6-8pm. New Space, City Campus, University of Newcastle This event is free for SPA members, please register via the CPD page on the SPA website

The Melbourne Private Practice Seminar was well attended by members.

Private practice seminars The private practice seminars have commenced with the VIC/TAS seminar held in Melbourne on 1 February. The ACT/NSW seminar is in Newcastle on 1 March, and will explore issues facing private practitioners, share resources and knowledge around the NDIS, discuss ethical decision making and provide support for running a business. Register to attend via the CPD workshops page of the SPA website. Private practice seminars will be run in Adelaide on 12 April and Perth (mid-year TBC), with registrations open closer to the time.
