Работа, озаглавленная «Проект (.) Или пейзаж, который наблюдает сам себя», – это блестящая визуальная демонстрация того, что «самое себя глаз никогда не видит». Сделанная с применением сложного, специально созданного для видеосъёмки устройства, работа визуализирует автономию. Весь смысл радикальной физической изоляции снимающего прибора, оператора и поля зрения от всего остального мира состоит в том, чтобы показать, что чем больше вы фокусируетесь на объекте, тем больше вы видите мир и тем меньше самого себя (включая глаз). Это не означает, что физически все эти аспекты никак не влияют на процесс съемки и восприятия работы – зритель будет раздражён прерывистым движением камеры или нехваткой чёткого центра внимания и больше всего намеренным отсутствием в работе какого- то одного послания или высказывания. Исследование поля зрения, границы взгляда становится особенно уместным, поскольку проявляет потенциал «видения» внутренним глазом; чем большую клаустрофобию заставляет вас почувствовать работа в реальном пространстве выставки, тем более освобождённым вы можете стать в вашем ментальном видении.

The work titled “Project (.) Or a landscape, which is observing itself” from 2008 is a brilliant visual demonstration that indeed “the eye does not ever see itself.” Using a complex and special- ly made devise for video shooting the work vi- sualizes autonomy itself. The whole point of the radical physical separation of the shooting tool, the camera operator and the field of vision from the rest of the world is to make clear that the more focused you are on your object, the more of the world you see and the less of your own self (eye included) you can see. That does not mean that physically all these aspects are not influ- encing the process of filming and viewing of the work – the viewer will be irritated by the jerking camera movement, or by the lack of a clear cen- ter of attention, and most of all by the dedicat- ed absence of a single message or statement in the work. The investigation of the field of vision, the limits and limitation of looking become all the more poignant as a manifestation of the po- tential of “seeing” with the inner eye; the more claustrophobic the work makes you feel in the real space of the exhibition, the more liberated you might become in your mental vision.
