Thanksgiving Day is a holiday to celebrate what you are thankful for. It is on the 4 th Thursday in November.

People think about the Pilgrims and Native Americans on Thanksgiving Day. The Native Americans helped the Pilgrims a lot that first year.

The Native Americans helped the Pilgrims learn how to plant corn and other vegetables. The Pilgrims had a big harvest because of that. They celebrated with a big feast.

Today, on Thanksgiving Day, people have a feast with friends and family. They talk about what they are thankful for.

Turkey is the traditional meat that is served on Thanksgiving Day.
