When Dodge & Cox took its stock-picking overseas, the results were brilliant, as Dodge & Cox Interna- tional DODFX proved to be the equal of Dodge & Cox Stock DODGX . I’m hoping that will apply to bonds, as the firm is taking its winning approach from Dodge & Cox Income DODIX and applying it to a world-bond portfolio in Dodge & Cox Global Bond DODLX . The fund has a welcome 0 . 60% expense ratio, as Dodge & Cox starts its funds with low expenses rather than making early shareholders shoulder an undue burden the way most fund companies do. The fund was launched in December 2012 . It currently has 49% corporate bonds, 27% governments, and the rest in mortgages and asset-backed debt. To make room, I’m removing Aberdeen Total Return Bond BJBGX , which has been dropped from coverage. œ
