The filmmakers intentionally wanted moms from different generations, and mother- daughter relationships with different age gaps. Costume designer Julia Caston was surprised at how many random emails she received from Bad Moms fans all over the world following the release of the first film.

Amy (Mila Kunis), Kiki (Kristen Bell), and Carla (Kathryn Hahn) are preparing for Christmas, which, as all moms know, is one of the most stressful times of the year. The only thing that could make it more taxing is a visit from the parents – and that’s exactly what happens.
