RAGGED RIDERS T2R13 Piscataquis County, ME Well, I must say that there hasn’t been much activity with the club lately, mostly just hoping for snow. I would imagine that as you read this you have all recovered from the New Year’s parties. Memberships are coming in slowly, but we are about where we were last year at this time. I plan to be at camp after Christmas and hope to get the trail across the lake marked out with small trees. The water got so low last year we had to stick them in the mud. The pictures attached are of the “new” groomer. It is a 1989 Formatic. It seems to

type gloves, and hand your itinerary to a friend. Trail 507 will not be groomed this winter season. Another club is not grooming to the dam, so it is felt, what sense would it make for GLSC too. This could change, but just in case, be ready to travel on a not groomed 507 Trail. NEXT MEETING: The second Wednesday of every month, 6 pm, at the GLS Fire Station. SIGNAGE: This is a big topic with Maine Dept of Agriculture/Snowmobile Division. Correct signage is major and should give you all kinds of information related to direction, restaurants, lodging, safety, bridge crossing, and more. So, gather some friends. Plan a lunch. Let Les know days ahead of time, that your group will be available for work. TREE WORK: Les says “All trails are fine at this moment, but we need brushing.” By the time you read this, I bet trees will be down, blocking trails. If you and others want to work your chain saw and heavy loppers, plan it ahead of time with Les. GROOMER TESTING: Les didn’t touch on the subject of members taken the Maine Trail Groomer Test. I’m sure he is planning and it will be brought up at the next meeting. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read about our snowmobile club and our special little town. Please ride our trails and make our town your town, and stop by on your snowmobile adventure. I guarantee you will be back. mikeremillard42@gmail.com Please take the time to cut out the below lines of information and pack it away with your registration and insurance info. You never know. PENOBSCOT sc Hermon, ME Happy New Year Everyone!

December brought lots of activity to the club. We entered a float in the Bangor Rotary Festival of Lights parade on December 6th. If you were there, you saw our brightly decorated new Kubota tractor with our youngest member, 6-year-old Charlee, along with long-time member Julie riding in the cab. Charlee said of her first parade participation...”I could see lots of kids and lots of people from the tractor. I found my friend!” Thank you to Chuck, Dave, and Andrew for decorating and thanks to Dysart’s for hauling the tractor for us! Our December 17 th meeting was a potluck (every 3 rd Wednesday is potluck). We enjoyed Shepherd’s Pie, Turkey Pot Pie, Bacon/ Ranch Cabbage Salad, Mexican Dip, and Gingerbread Cookies. We have our new updated local trail maps printed and available for you the clubhouse. We held our annual fundraiser winning drawing on December 20th from Bangor Motor Sports in Bangor. The WINNER of either a brand-new Ski-Doo MXZ 600 Sport snowmobile or a new Can Am Outlander 500 ATV was Rachelle Cobb of Hermon!!! (as of this printing, she hadn’t decided which!) Congratulations Rachelle! Thank you for your support and thanks to all who purchased a raffle ticket. We greatly appreciate it. We will be offering a FREE COMMUNITY DINNER on Saturday, January 24th from 12-4pm, as well as a Bonfire Social hosted by Evan, our Bonfire Master!
