Upperclassmen leaders, junior Brooke Roby (Poway, CA) and se– niors Katie Allen (Temecula, CA) and Brenna Mullen (San Diego, CA) are complemented by a proven group of second-year players. The Toreros have been picked to finish fourth in the WCC in the 2003 preseason league poll. USD finished fourth in 2002 when the conference coaches tabbed them to finish fifth, a position the Toreros have not ended in since 1994. If San Diego can manage its way through the tough non-conference schedule and challenge some of the nation's best teams in its own league there is little reason to believe the Toreros will not return to the NCAA College Cup Tour– nament for the fifth consecutive season.
