15.2.3.4. Wet-road beam

The wet road beam offers an improved hot spot for better “light penetration” and reduced foreground light to avoid “mirror effect” on wet roads.

“wet road” class W modes – beam on the road

The “wet road” class W-mode(s) of the passing beam shall not operate unless the front fog lamps, if any, are switched OFF and one or more of the following conditions is/are automatically detected: l The wetness of the road has been detected automatically.

l The windshield wiper is switched ON and its continuous or automatically controlled operation has occurred for a period of at least two minutes.
