Deltaport Berth 3 and South Fraser Perimeter Road The Gateway Program was established by the Province of British Columbia to improve the movement of people, goods and transit through Metro Vancouver. Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) has been retained for a number of projects pertaining to the Gateway Program. KCB formed and led the multidisciplinary team tasked with the design and construction inspection of the Berth 3 Marine Works and the associated environmental habitat compensation works. The expansion increases Deltaport’s capacity by 50% and was built in a sustainable manner with $25 million spent on habitat compensation. KCB was also responsible for the preliminary and detailed design of the new railway overhead at the intersection of 41B St and Deltaport Way. The new overhead replaced an existing at-grade crossing, improving the safety of motorists and the efficiency of the transport of goods via rail. accommodation for the families of Canadian Forces members, as well as those of the ambulance, fire and law enforcement services, while the members are receiving care in the Metro Vancouver area. The Vancouver Regional Construction Association, Walter Francl Architecture and the consulting/construction community contributed to the structural rebuild and expansion of this vacant 1930s historic heritage home in NewWestminster. Honour House now contains 10 fully accessible suites with accessible washrooms, a large accessible kitchen, common amenity areas and patios. Modern HVAC systems, a hydraulic elevator, increased living area and accessibility were added while preserving and restoring the heritage characteristics of the home. Owner: Honour House Society.
