ANNUAL REVIEW 2013

CDA continued to work on behalf of industry to raise the standing of subsurface data management to a level where it is recognised as a truly professional discipline. Achievements included the establishment of a portal for measuring competency against a standard developed through CDA (www.CDACompetency. com) and the construction of university courses (including an MSc) in the discipline. Master Deed – new fully online system was introduced in June to expedite and streamline the transaction processes – via a secure website system – for offshore licence interests and other agreements relating to associated assets and infrastructure. This change came as LOGIC marked the tenth anniversary of its Master Deed system, which allows passive third parties affected by asset transfers to give consent quickly and cost effectively. The fully online system is now being used by all and there have been more transactions in 2013 than any other year. 2012 sign-ups to the Industry Mutual Hold Harmless Deed (IMHH) are now in line with the original scheme participants. Vantage POB has now been running for 10 years. There are currently more users than for any time previously and the pax rate is as low as it has been throughout that time. LOGIC

Common Data Access Limited (CDA)

- CDA 1 currently has a total of 75 participants across all classes including 63 oil companies; four universities, six contractors; the British Geological Survey (BGS) 2 and DECC. Downloads of well data will exceed a record total of more than one million items by the end of the year. Several significant improvements were delivered to users, including web services and a significantly upgraded map interface. Users may now also view and download high-quality images of the public well core collection held by the BGS through the CDA interface. A service to increase the bandwidth for seismic data downloads was launched in the middle of March and users can now perform high-speed online downloads from anywhere in the world. New services were also launched to accept raw seismic field data and the full range of data types associated with site surveys. - CDA continues to work with the UK Fisheries Offshore Oil and Gas Legacy Trust Fund Limited (FLTCS) 3 and the Sea Fish Industry Authority (SFIA) 4 to improve and automate the semi-annual collection and quality-control of infrastructure - - information for distribution to the fishing community where it is used to support safe fishing practices. During 2013, CDA unified its various online services into a new, single website under the banner of www.UKOilandGasData.com. The new site improves and significantly simplifies the user experience and offers the company a stronger platform for further growth and development. -
