( a )  Target organisms. — Escherichia coli and coliforms.

( b )   Matrices. —Evaluated with Butterfield’s phosphate‐buffered dilution water (BPBD): 

Pasteurized whole milk, butter, non‐fat dry milk powder, fresh raw ground pork (90% lean),  12

lamb chop, fresh raw ground chicken (92% lean), chicken carcass rinsate, shell eggs, liquid egg  13

whites, powdered egg whites, sprouts, cranberries, powdered infant formula with probiotics,  14

powdered infant formula without probiotics, dry dog kibble, flour (all‐purpose), chocolate chip  15

cookie dough. Evaluated with BPBD and peptone salt solution (PSS): fresh raw ground beef  16

(73% lean), raw frozen chicken wings (bone in, skin on), raw milk, whole liquid egg, tuna sushi  17

(tuna fillet, no rice), smoked salmon, bunched spinach, pasteurized carrot juice, ready‐made  18

sandwiches (turkey breast, provolone cheese, lettuce, red onion and multi‐grain bread), raw  19

vegetable with salad dressing (coleslaw), chicken feed, soybean meal, stainless steel  20

environmental surface (type 304, food grade, sampled by sponge), sealed concrete  21
