e value added in the entire manufacturing industry in the Czech Republic in 2022 reached CZK 1,254 billion.
Value added is calculated here in accounting terms, namely: Value added = trading margin + output - output consumption.
It is therefore the value added to the purchased inputs, whether it is trading or, in the automotive industry, primarily manufacturing activity. Despite the decline in the last reported year, the automotive industry is the most important of all the manufacturing industry divisions in the Czech Republic. e second most important is the Manufacture of fabricated metal products (CZK 155 billion), and the third is the Manufacture of machinery and equipment (CZK 108 billion).
