CHARLENE BlPPES #8 Middle Blocker Junior Spokane WA 6'1"

A junior college transfer (Big Bend CC), Charlene is a versatile athlete who will also be a member of USD's women's basketball team. She averaged 9 kills, 6 aces, 5 digs and 4 blocks per match last season at Big Bend while garnering her team's "Most Valuable Player" award. Charlene will provide added depth to the Toreros' attack with her blocking and hitting skills. PERSONAL: The daughter of Clark and Patsy Bippes, Charlene Nicole Bippes was born in Spokane WA. She attended University HS in Spokane WA, where she played for Head Coach Rik Austing. While at Big Bend CC, also in Spokane, Charlene played for Head Coach Margie Lane. She is a Business Management major.

JENNIFER WRIGHTSON #13 Outside Hitter Sophomore Culver City CA 6'1"

Jennifer joins the USD program this season as a transfer from San Diego State University. Considered to have the potential to take the USD program to another level, Jennifer is expected to solidify the Toreros' right side attack. As a freshman at SDSU in 1991, Jennifer recorded 120 kills and 175 digs. PERSONAL: The daughter of John and Mary Anne Wrightson, Jennifer Wrightson was born in Santa Monica CA. She attended Notre Dame Acad– emy in West Los Angeles CA, where she played for Head Coach Tom Brenner, and San Diego State University, where she played for Head Coach Rudy Suwara. Jennifer is an Elementary Education major.
