I am super stoked to write this article for this month’s MSA newsletter! After a very, very disappointing start to the season, Feb- ruary finally gave us the cold temps and decent storms here along the mid-coast. All trails in Alna are OPEN, groomed and in very good shape. Could we use a bit more snow, well sure, we can always use a bit more but for what we have the trails are amazing. It’s the first time in 2 years condi- tions are this good. Get out there and enjoy. Be mindful of rocks and the ever-present trees. Ride right and ride safe! Trails in Wiscasset were also dragged and in good shape, good job to our neighbors to the South! A few members rode to Cubby Hole for the great food and great soda! Carla is a great supporter of the club and its always good to patronize businesses that support your local club. Due to COVID we were forced to cancel our February meeting. I am tired of the masks and hype that goes along with this but enough said on all that! Our meetings are the first Thurs- day of each month, each meeting is a potluck and they are held at the Alna Firehouse starting at 6:30 PM. Condolences to Greg and Daryl on the passing of their Dad. We have been thinking of you guys. Hope to see you on the trails soon. Before the trails were passable a few members gathered at the cabin on Verney Pond to try out new sleds and new to them sleds. The perfect spot for ice skating and hot dogs. As long as the snow holds out, our March meeting will be held at the log cabin, ride in, ride out. We welcome new individual, family and business members. Please look for new updated trail maps. The “gas trail” to the Citgo station on Rt 302 is back open this season. The trail access on the west side of Little Sebago, south of the Narrows, is still closed. Watch for club rides and activities later this season.
