ECJC Drops Two RAYMOND- East Central's men and women kept it close here Thursday night, but wound up dropping both games to Hinds JC. Hinds won the men's game 87-75, and the women's game, 78-71. Calvin Terrell had 20, Shon Snider 19, Cornell Slaughter 17, Lonnie Nash 16 and Mark Coleman 13 to lead Hinds' men. Kenneth Gilliland had 23 points and 19 rebounds for ECJC. Joe Kennamer added 23 points and Mike Shirley had 14 for the Warriors. In the women's game, Hinds was led by Becky Belt with 18 points. East Central was led by Joanne Earnest with 27 Pam Coleman 14, Stephanie Townsend 10 and Mattie Burnside 10. ECJC's men are now 4-12 overal and 1-6 in South Divison play. The Lady Warriors are 9-6 overall and 6-2 in the South . Both East Central teams play at Gulf Coast Saturday night. ECJC's next home action will be Monday night against Hinds.
