CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must provide current health certificate within 30 days, negative Coggins with 6 months, and brand inspection required by the state of Nevada. Stall check-in will be Wed., Dec. 4, 2019 from 10 AM to 2 PM, and again from 6 PM to 10 PM at the South Point Equestrian Center stalls. No late check-in will be allowed. Horses must vacate the stalls no later than 10 AM on Fri., Dec. 6, 2019. Any horses remaining after this deadline will be removed at the owner’s expense. Any cost or liability will be the responsibility of the owner. Contestants must provide health and brand papers required by the state of Nevada. ALL EVENTS - Only 2019 money won as a permit member will count towards qualifications. Contestants must enter through PROCOM during the specified times. QUALIFICATIONS: The top 5 permit members (which includes any contestant who was a permit member for any part of the 2019 rodeo season) in each event, who enter, based on 2019 money won as a permit member, will be accepted. In the Team Roping, the top 5 headers, based on 2019 money won as a permit member while competing as a header and the top 5 heelers based on 2019 money won as a permit member while competing as a heeler, will be accepted. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. ALL CONTESTANTS - All contestants must complete a Participation Declaration. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must have proof of current Coggins Test and health papers. The 40 contestants or teams who entered and qualified for National Western Stock Show are not eligible to enter the qualifier. TD, SW, TR - Two go-rounds. The first go-round will be run on Wed., Dec. 18 at 8 AM. The second go-round will be run on Thurs., Dec. 19 at 8 AM at the National Western Events Center located at 1515 E. 47th Avenue, Denver, CO. QUALIFICATIONS: TD - 145 minimum entries. TD, SW, TR - 40 qualifying contestants or teams from the qualifier will be placed in the performances at the Denver National Western Rodeo, along with the 34 contestants (or teams) already entered. The 40 qualifying contestants or teams will be top ten from the first go-round (plus splits), the top ten from the second go-round that have not already qualified from the first go- round (plus splits), and the remaining positions (not to exceed 30) will be filled from the fastest times in the average. If there are ties, the contestant (or team) with the single fastest time will fill the highest ranked position. If ties cannot be broken, all ties will be accepted. All 80 contestants (or teams) that qualify for the Denver National Western Rodeo will have a grace period to change preferences and/or buddy groups on Friday., Dec. 27, between 8:30 AM and 2 PM. For a contestant to advance from the qualifier to the rodeo, his 2020 membership renewal must be current by Friday., December 27 at 2 PM. TD, SW - $30 stock charge for cards and permits.
