Keep an eye out on our Facebook and website for more details and the exact date. Trails We plan on starting trail work the last Sun day of September and continuing every Sun day until we’ve got snow on the ground. Keep in mind that anybody that volunteers 25 or more hours per season gets the next year’s membership free! Membership We hope to see a lot of people at the Sep tember meeting and will be have membership packets ready to go. After that we will have packets which we will mail out to previous members. Included in the packet will be the MSA super raffle tickets. I hear the prizes are bigger and better this year. Calendar of Events We will finalize our calendar at our first board meeting Sunday September 7. Once finalized it will be posted on our website and Facebook page as well as the MSA newspaper and sent to every member with their member ship renewal information. Enjoy what’s left of this wonderful summer. Snowmobile season will sneak up on you faster than you think! Hope to see that the Club Troy G Trail Grunt EBEEMEE sc Ebeemee Twp, ME Welcome to Ebeemee Snowmobile Clubs 2025-2026 Winter Season! We have been busy working on a few dif ferent projects that we are sure you will enjoy. Our Ebeemee Snack Shack is experiencing renovations in Ms. Susan’s kitchen as well as updates in our back room! Many thanks to Harris Lumber in Milo for their very generous donation of V-match pine for our Snack Shack kitchenette! Our hope and intent is that it will serve as a warming hut/gathering spot for all of us. We have begun the process of applying for trail maintenance grants utilizing the Maine Trail Grant program. It is going to be a big help getting funding for trail maintenance projects. We have some culverts that need replacing as well as a couple more bridges that need “some love.” Some sections of trail have been designated for rock removal as well. We just can’t help thinking about Smileage! Is this year the year you get your own ESC Adopt-A-Trail sign? If so, please get those forms sent back so we can order those signs for you. Remember to include the wording you want on the sign as well as your phone number in case we have questions. Please return your membership packets as soon as possible, especially if you are buy ing MSA Super Raffle tickets. Those need to be submitted before the drawing date in December. What else you ask? Well, many hands make light work. If there is a talent you have or a tractor/backhoe or some free time to do some trail work, please reach out to Trailmaster Pete (say hi Pete) and he will find something for you to do! He can be reached at 207-649-3526 or T5R9sledder@gmail.com In short, let’s all keep on making this a great area to ride and visit and thank you for your continued support! And last but not least, no snow dances yet but get those dancing boots out and dusted off! Laurie Plourde, President GLENBURN LAKESIDE RIDERS sc Glenburn, ME Well, here we go again. Just standing at the
kitchen table with the window ajar, it is raining (finally), taking in that “fall in the air smell.” Really gets you excited and motivated. Sort of like that “new car smell” - hard to describe and hard to live without here in Maine. Yes, fall is in the air, and a cold and snowy winter not too far away. As we begin this long-awaited season, just a couple of points to get us started. 1. GLRSC meetings will start on the 1st and 3 rd Wednesdays of the month beginning on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the club house at 7:00 P.M. located at 2838 Ohio Street in Glenburn. These meetings usually only last about an hour or so and very informative, so come on over and check us out, join the club, we want more members, who knows; you may come home with one of Marion’s famous whoopie pies! The membership letters / club applications will be mailed out in September, along with 6 MSA Super Raffle Tickets (which is still a great value at 6 for $10, 12 for $20 and so on.) You can increase your chances by purchasing multiple tickets from club members. We will be selling these at Village Variety Store in Glenburn starting on Friday nights 4-8 P.M. on the Friday after Labor Day. The drawing date is Thursday, December 11th at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer. The GLRSC will also be at Village Variety Store on the week end of October 10-12th, 2025 with 2 of the sleds to be drawn and 1of the trailers to be drawn as well, don’t miss it! Just wrapping it up, we haven’t done much work on the trails yet – too wet this spring and too Dry (fire danger) this summer, but we will be out there soon starting in September on Sundays at 8:00A.M. Stay tuned for further details. Thank You. As the sweltering summer heat begins to transition into crisp autumn air, it’s time to prepare for another exciting season with the Jo Mary Riders Snowmobile Club! We hope you’ve been as eager as we are for the first snowfall to blanket our trails, and we want to share some important updates in anticipation of the upcoming season. 501C3:**. packages in the next few weeks. If you hav en’t joined our club before, but would like to, send a message to Quadcounty Snowmobile Club on Facebook. We are already getting trail work lined up and landowner permissions. It won’t be long before we will be having trail work days. Your Slow Typing Reporter, Kevin https://sites.google.com/site/shirleybogtrailbusters/ email: shirleybogtrailbusters@gmail.com fb: Shirley bog trailbusters Yes, it’s still summer and very hot as I write this for the September edition! In fact, a heat wave is predicted for our area in the upcoming days! But it IS time to think of winter and to start preparing for the upcoming snowmobile season. As you all know, preparation for sledding is always on going whether it be spring, sum mer, fall or winter. The “off” season has many things happening in every club. Last season turned out to be on the short side due to weather conditions. SBTB groomed late into March but the trails in surround ing areas had even less snow and the season finished before any of us were ready to call it quits. We certainly hope that 2025-26 will give us better conditions. More snow dances are needed for this season! We do have a TRAIL UPDATE at this early stage in the season. American Forest will be cutting on the west end of our bypass trail and that section terminating at the intersection of the CCC road and Clouse Allen will be closed all winter. You will need to use the Draper Road north, crossing West Road in Shirley and then connecting with the By-Pass trail. From there, you head east through Shirley to ITS 85. VOLUNTEERING to help with trail trim ming, tree removal, fixing washouts and sig nage is very helpful. Those with an aptitude for mechanicals can help with repairing/main taining the groomers and drags. The board is already working on securing trails, contacting landowners, and working with logging sched ules. The lists are endless. NEW MEMBERS are always welcome. In fact, they are needed probably in every club. Ours for example, has many long-time mem bers and board members that are aging, and “new blood” is needed. Our trail master will be gone this season to Florida and replace ment(s) for grooming, and groomer mainte nance will be needed. RECRUIT your neigh bors, friends, grandkids, seasonal visitors for your clubs. They are the future for our clubs. GET YOUR SNOWMOBILE(s) serviced while the weather is mild. Check it out, clean it up, tune it up and repair what needs to be done. Check for mice nests. And something to keep in mind when you store your sled: herb al-based repellants in pouches (such as Fresh Cab) can be placed in one or two places to help keep mice away! We hope to be able to resume having trail cookouts during the season and get back to some “good ol’ fashioned” winter activities! We’ll keep you informed about trails, club rides, and plans as we have them finalized. Check face book, our website, and upcoming newsletters. SHIRLEY BOG TRAIL BUSTERS Shirley, ME

And if it that wasn’t enough to really excite you, how about this as an eye opener -on the same raffle ticket a chance to win a 3-night stay for up to fourteen people, with some meals added at Shin Pond Village. You talk about a fantastic prize - this year’s MSA Super Raffle is a “Must Buy”. You can purchase tickets at still the bargain deal of only $2 each, 6 for $10, 12 for $20, you get idea – the more you buy, the better your chances of winning, and along with those great frontline prizes, you will also be in the drawing for gift certificates for lodging and meal donated by generous businesses across the state of Maine. For each ticket sold by participating clubs, they get $1, and $1 goes to MSA. So, contact your local club, or any club member, they will happy to oblige. So, with that being said (written, typed or whatever), let’s ALL get involved this season, join a club or many and enjoy what promises to be a most memorable winter. Thank you Hi to all, Quadcounty SC has been busy this sum mer! We built a groomer barn to house our 2 New Holland groomers. We will be sheathing the sides in the next few weeks. We also had a Generac generator installed to have emer gency power for the club and possibly the community in a long-term outage. The breakfasts have been breaking records serving as many as 133 people in 3 hours! The Fish fry’s, chicken BBQ and Lobster Dinner were record breaking also serving 322 lobsters to 214 people in about one and half hours! Our cooking crew and kitchen crew does a fabulous job. These meals pay for the Club to make the improvements to the Club house and improvement to the 120 miles of trails that Quadcounty SC maintains and grooms. Our trails connect Downeast Maine to Aroostook County, traversing 11 towns and connecting four counties, hence the name, Quadcounty SC.
