than the snowmobiles the club has used since it began in 1970. Every Sunday morning from September to Decem ber or later depending on snow conditions for the past twenty plus years, Larry was at the clubhouse at 6:30 in the morning making coffee and handing out home
O n Saturday May 24 th over 100 peo ple attended a Celebra tion of Life and Groomer Building Addition Dedi cation for Larry Lafland who passed away in December 2024. At the time of his passing Larry was the trailmaster for the club and had been for approximately 30 years. Larry’s dream had always been for EMSC to get their trails brushed back and the bridges reinforced in order to support a larger piece of grooming equipment
and strengthen bridges to support heavier equip ment. This was no easy task when you have a trail system that cov ers four towns, over 75 miles of trails, and you are dealing with over 200 landowners! Once Larry retired from working full time, he spent four to five days a week working on tri als, and prepping them
made pastries while he lined up his trail work crew or crews depending on how many arrived for the day. His goal was to brush and widen trails,
for newer equipment. In the past three years as his dream was becom ing more reachable, he turned his attention
