automated wire production

Machines for chain link fence production Vitari SpA, Italy, manufactures a wide range of machines, from automatic wire straightening and cutting-off machines, to machines for manufacturing nails, chains, chain link fencing, and barbed wire, and ancillary machines for various productions. The company’s chain link fencing machines use galvanised wire or PVC. Blade speed and spiral length are electronically programmable, and data can be programmed or modified while the machine is in operation. Blade speed can vary from 200 to 1,000 rpm, and can also vary during spiral moulding process. The cutting mechanism is controlled by an independent motor, and the machine can also be equipped with winding device for standard and compact rolls, or with a completely automatic winding device for compact rolls.

Vitari also produces a range of machines for the manufacture of triple torsion hexagon wire mesh or double torsion for making gabions for river bank reinforcement. A pneumatic clutch-brake on the main shaft allows perfect machine starting and immediate stopping. The length of wire mesh rollers is pre-selected on a meter-counter which automatically stops the machine when the pre-selected length is reached. Braided products are made with steel, copper or aluminium wire. Carriers to work glass, polyester or aramide are also available. Braided wire products are used in the medical industry, in aeronautics and space technology, for the production of flexible hoses, high pressure hoses, special cables and ground straps. The braiding machines are available in either vertical or horizontal version. The take-off of the product is done by take-off discs with up to 1,600mm diameter or by caterpillar take-offs. The Herzog-supported horngear system is extremely suited for applications with very specific requirements. Absolute regularity in the wire tension on the carriers further contributes to perfect quality end products. A PLC control on basis of Siemens components further enhances quality as well as flexibility. Herzog wire braiding machines are available in pitch sizes from 80mm to 224mm. Various carrier types accept bobbins with different volumes of 28ccm to 1,500ccm.Yarn tensions between 0.25N and, 180N can be adjusted with yarn tension springs. Herzog also supplies semi or fully automatic bobbin winding machines to guarantee perfect winding process pay-off reels with yarn brakes and controls individually suited to the material used to complete the production line.
