Patrícia Portela Patrícia Portela (born 1974) draws inspiration from the stage. After studying costume design, film, and philosophy across Europe, she began working on her own performances and installations in 2003. In 2004, she won the Gulbenkian Foundation’s Madalena de Azeredo Perdigão award, was invited to the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa in 2013, and became the first literary resident in Berlin in 2016. She is known for daring and creativity in her writing, performance, and art. TE 19-3 Sara Mesa Sara Mesa (born in Madrid, 1976) has lived in Seville since childhood. She has received various awards for her poetry (including the Premio Nacional de PoesíaMiguel Hernández for Este jilguero agenda ) and for her novels (including the Premio Málaga de Novela for Un incendio invisible ). Her novel, Four by Four , excerpted here, was nominated for the Premio Herralde . She has also written several short story collections. TE 19-4
