2060 1949 North East area local overprinted on Manchukuo stamps, Lingyuan ( 凌源 ) hand surcharged in black complete set of 4 in block of 6, plus extra shade of $4 on 20f block of 6. Chan MOJH.7A.1-2, MOJH.7B.1-2. unmounted and dry gum. Photo HK$ 1,500 - 1,800 2061 1946 (11 Feb.) A cover from Haicheng to Shanhaiguan, bearing rubber chop, handstamped in black char. 'Chunghwa Northeast Postal Service' ( 中華東北郵政 ) in thicker strokes type on Manchukuo stamps 2f, 3f,12f and 50f complete set of 4, (Kerr as T86, 48.32-35, Chan MOLO.15B) tied by very clear 'HAICHENG' Japanese type cancellation. The first capture of Haicheng by communist army was on 10th Feb. 1945, and the second capture was on 30th May 1946. Rare set and date on cover. 'Chunghwa Postal Service' ( 中華郵政 ) on Manchukuo stamps 50f olive green in pair, tied by clear 'TAIAN/PEHAN' ( 泰安/北安 ) Japanese type cds. Double registration cover sent from Shenyang to Shanghai, franked on front with “Double Tenth Commermoration Min Kuo 35th year” overprint in green on Northest surcharge on Dr. SYS Sin Min print, $4 on $50 (Chan MOSJ. 8C. 1 and Northeast surcharge on Dr SYS Sin Min print, $4 on $50, block of 6, all tied by SHENYANG 35.10.8 cd's, also unframed “Airmail” & “Double registration” handstamps, backstamped SHANGHAI 11.10.1946 arrival cds, fine and very scarce usage of Manchurian Local Overprint stamp on double registration airmail with arrival date stamp.
