All Super 5th hitches feature PullRite's unique gear driven rotary latch, with an automatic locking mechanism, for a safer, tighter connection between the truck and trailer. Wouldn't you rather have a tighter latch, that locks automatically, and tows more comfortably? All Super 5th's have a double pivot, fully articulating head. The rotary latch wraps 140-degrees around the king pin, reducing wear, and minimizing "bump" while towing, allowing only .030" tolerance between king pin and latch. The 3" Lift Kit for the 12K SuperGlide hitch helps overcome problems sometimes encountered, when an installer needs to raise the height of the hitch in the bed to provide additional clearance between the bottom of the 5th wheel trailer and the top of the pick-up truck bed rails, or if the angle of the trailer king pin box is so shallow that it might contact the truck bed walls when making very short turns.
