Andy Fee, Asst. AD for Athletic Facilities & Operations Andy Fee is in his fourth year at USD, and his third in the position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities and Operations. Fee assists John Martin in overseeing all the

scheduling, field maintenance and purchasing for the department's athletic venues. He also is the sport superviser for women's soccer, men's & women's cross country, and men's golf. Fee came to USD fromArizona State University where he was As– sistant Director of Facility Operations for Athletics for two seasons. Before that he was Facility Supervisor for the ASU Student Recreation Complex. Besides his work at ASU, he developed Athletics and Management skills with the NFL Cardinals, Fiesta Bowl and PGA Phoenix Open. From Scottsdale, Arizona, he earned his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in History in 1996 from Arizona State University. Andy and his wife, Nicole, reside in San Diego. Nick Mirkovich Assistant Media Relations Director Nick Mirkovich begins his fifth season as .________. design of USD's athletic website. He handles the play-by-play webcast announcing for a majority of baseball's road games. In May of 2000 he received a B.A. in Business Management from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. His professional experi– ence includes working with three different professional football organiza– tions and three collegiate media relations departments. Nick was hired by the NFL's league office in New York to serve as the primary Media Rela– tions contact for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe in 2001 after interning with the New England Patriots in 2000. Josh Lawrence begins his third year as the Director of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. He came to USD after 7 years at UC San Diego, where his re– sponsibilities included managing the RIMAC Are– na. Josh's duties included coordinating all events, from athletic competition to the presentation of concerts and special events, as well as maintenance throughout the Sports Facilities at UC San Diego. Here at USD, Josh's responsibilities will include scheduling, staffing and all management aspects of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. In this capacity he will manage the daily operations of the facility, including event management and marketing of the Pavilion. Josh received his B.S. from UC San Diego in 1993 with a double major in Political Science and U.S. History. Josh and his wife, Lisa, reside in San Diego. Derek Hillestad JCP Asst. Director/Events Manager Derek Hillestad begins his fourth year as Assistant Director of the Jenny Craig Pavilion and Events Manager. He came to USD from Ball State University the Asst. Dir. of Media Relations where he over– sees a number of USD 's athletic programs. His du– ties include coordinating radio and TV productions, producing media guides, press releases, brochures and game programs. sales and marketing. Additional experience includes sponsorship sales and marketing positions with ISLWorldwide, Hampton Classic Horse Show in New York and The Asia Sport Group in Hong Kong. She began her career in television, with experience at ESPN, CBS 60 Minutes, NHK Television and STAR Sports. She received her B.A. from University of California at Berkeley, and her M.B .A. from Columbia Business School. Chris Morales, Coordinator ofPromotions Chris Morales was hired this past July into

the position ofMarketing &Promotions Coordina– tor. He oversees all promotional activities for USD Athletics, client services for corporate sponsorship, group activities and on/off campus organizational involvement at athletic events. Prior to USD, Chris worked at Louisiana

State University as Graduate MarketingAssistant overseeing women's soc– cer, men's basketball, baseball, and corporate sponsor fulfillment. Before LSU, Chris spent time with the Virginia Tech Athletic Development serv– ing briefly as interim director of marketing and helped coordinate NCAA events with women's basketball, golf, and soccer. Chris is a 2004 graduate of Virginia Tech where he earned his B.A. in Marketing Management. He is from Ashburn, Virginia. Dean Aresco Strength & Conditioning Coach Dean Aresco is in his fifth season as USD 's Strength and Conditioning Coach. He came to USD via Towson State Uni– versity where he was their head coach for three seasons. Additional professional experiences in- 1,;;;;;;;;;;;;=;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;:;;;;;;;;;;;;.:,a elude stints at the University of Connecticut as a Graduate Assistant, and at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego as the Interim Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. He earned his B.S. in Exercise Physiology in 1995 from the University of Connecticut, and recently completed his M.A. degree there in the same field. A NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Spe– cialist, he also is certified through USA weight lifting. Additionally, he holds memberships with NSCA, the U.S. Weightlifting Federation, and the American College of Sports Medicine. Hans Straub McNamara Fitness Center Dir./Asst. Strength & Conditioning Coach Hans Straub is in his fourth year at USD

but enter his second full season in the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach and Di– rector of the McNamara Fitness Center. He came to USD in 2002 but took over these duties full-time

He came to USD via Towson State University where he was a tight end on the football team for two years and earned a B.S. degree in 2002 in Sports Management. Prior to Towson he played two years of football at Millersville in Pennsylvania. From Camp Hill, Pennsylvania he graduated from high school in 1998 after earning letters in three sports - football, basketball and baseball. This Fall he'll begin a Master's Program in Excercise Science through the University of Texas-El Paso.

Supervisor for Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin; as a Program Assistant for the Department of Recreational Sports at Texas A&M; and as Event Co-Coordinator for the Department of Recreation Management at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He graduated fromWisconsin-La Crosse with aB.S. in Recreation Management (2000), and received his M.S. inAthletic Administration from Ball State University in July of 2002.
