in 1663. Inside the main cntrance a bronze statue o f King Frederik VI, by H. V. Bissen. Frederiksberg Have is bcautiful with its avenues and canals. In the center o f the park the old lodge “ Fasangården” , where Ochlcnschlager lived. The park has been laid out around 1700. During the summer mueh boating on :he canals and concerts once a wcck on the mcadow in front o f the castle. Frederiksberg Slot (the castlc), beautifully situated, has entrances from the road as well as from the park, It is now used as military training school for officers. (Dcscription page 35). To the west the Zoo (Zoologisk Have), dcscription page 38). To the south the park Søndermarken, with good playing grounds for chil— dren. In this park the memorial mound, crectcd by Danishborn Anicri- cans in 1925 together with the monument “Mother and Child” . From Frederiksberg Runddel to the north through Allcgadc we pass by sevcral statues of writers, f. i. H. V. Kaalund, Holger Drachmann and Adam Ochlcnschlager. Through Smallegade, continuing as Peder Bangsvej, we cornc to the KB Hall (KB-Hallen), surrounded by different sport tracks. In the winter concerts are held here as well as all kinds o f sporting events. Allcgade continues into Falkoneralle, east of which the “ Vetcrinær- og Landbohøjskole” (Royal Veterinary and Agricultural College) is situated in a very beautiful garden with many rare plants and a number o f statues and busts o f prominent persons.

In Klampenborg the well known beach Bellevue is situated, visited daily by many thousands during the whole summer. To the west the well known park, Dyrehaven, (deer park), in a hilly terrain with many prchistoric mounds, totally enclosed. Entrances are marked by porches of red timber. Game-keeper lodges with small restaurants.
