AREA OF SERVICE: Volunteers are primarily of service in the monastery at its location in Southern Indiana. The Service to Sisterhood program participants also become involved in the work of the sisters in Louisville, Kentucky and Evansville and Jasper, Indiana. LENGTH OF SERVICE: Long-term volunteer projects such as the Service to Sisterhood program are conducted for two to three months during the summer. Shorter-term opportunities are available on a daily or weekly basis. REQUIREMENTS: Volunteers who are 10 years of age or older are preferred. The Service to Sisterhood summer program is limited to adult females only. FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS: Service to Sisterhood participants receive room, board, and transportation in gratitude for their service. Other shorter-term volunteers may receive housing and meals as needed and as available. LIVING ARRANGEMENTS: Volunteers with extended stays will be housed in local facilities. SIZE OF PROGRAM: The overall volunteer program works with over 300 volunteers yearly. TRAINING: Training is provided through the program. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Rolling application process. GOAL OF PROGRAM: FIDESCO USA recruits volunteers, ages 21 to 70, who are US citizens and legal residents. They are trained, and sent (including families whose children are in grades 4 and 5 during the mission or younger), in groups of two or more, to under-served areas of the world for typically two years. The volunteers make their professional skills available to those in need, aiming at the full development of human beings without regard to religion, ethnic or culture differences. TYPE OF PLACEMENT: Healthcare, business management, agriculture, education, social work, information technology, finance, engineering, law, architecture, construction, and more. AREA OF SERVICE: Asia, Africa, Central and South America, Caribbean, Pacific. LENGTH OF SERVICE: Typically 1 to 2 years REQUIREMENTS: College degree (or equivalent), or applicable experience. Able to attend FIDESCO discernment and training sessions. Able to travel and live overseas. Must be US citizen or resident with green card to apply with Fidesco USA. FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS: A "modest and just" stipend (defined per local customs and per project assignment), healthcare insurance, paid roundtrip to mission assignment. LIVING ARRANGEMENTS: At the minimum, individual bedrooms for singles. We look for special accommodations for families and couples. SIZE OF PROGRAM: 150 volunteers overall in 2017 - Volunteers are sent as a team and the teammay be two volunteers or more. The

LIVING ARRANGEMENTS: Missionaries live together in a community house, unless they are a married couple or family in which case separate housing is available. All of the missionaries share in daily prayer life, as well as meals, jobs, chores, etc. SIZE OF PROGRAM: 10-12 international volunteers (five to seven accepted each year). TRAINING: On-site orientation and job training provided, in addition to pre-departure training. Language and cultural training is received in Guatemala prior to arrival.
