THE team at Jubilee believe that childhood should be just that – an exciting adventure, a time for children to discover, explore and investigate the world around them. The two nurseries are independent and offer term-time and full-time provision respectively. Set in 60 acres of open countryside, private woodland and a working farm, the Jubilee name has become synonymous with high-quality outdoor learning. There are endless opportunities for children to make dens, climb trees and learn new skills with the Forest School leader or even care for the animals with Farmer Pete. Such experiences provide a unique way of building confidence and self-esteem while promoting independence. Jubilee are passionate about ‘learning by doing’. Children are given the time and

space to explore in a safe environment with caring and highly-skilled practitioners close at hand to support children’s individual needs and development. Both nurseries follow the Early Years Foundations Stage (EYFS) curriculum, with specific areas of learning and development, including literacy, maths,

understanding the world and art and design. Activities are carefully selected for every stage of development, whether that be through exploring sounds and extending vocabulary, mark making, messy play, singing or dressing up and role playing. Children from two-and-a-half years of age are introduced to

concepts such as a healthy lifestyle and are offered the opportunity to participate in a fun weekly fitness programme specifically designed for this age group. Pre-school children have dedicated free-flow spaces leading into their own outdoor space, designed to promote and encourage independence.

It’s here that Jubilee’s highly-skilled team prepare the children for their eventual move to ‘big school’. The children learn about topical festivities and enjoy visiting the dedicated ‘Learning Hub’ where they really get to grips with phonics through fun sessions and educational games.
