Building and Design Standards for Multifamily Development

5.9.8.

A. Applicability In addition to the exterior material and color standards in Section 5.9.4, Exterior Facade Materials and Colors for All Development, the standards in this section shall apply to the principal structures in a new multifamily development except where exempted in accordance with Section 5.9.8.B, Exemptions. B. Exemptions Multifamily development submitted and determined complete in accordance with Section 2.4.3.F, Determination of Application Completeness, prior to May 11, 2016 or located within the following zoning districts is exempted from these standards:

The Main Street (MS) district in Section 3.5.3;

The Town Center Commercial (TCC) district in Section 3.5.4;

The Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) district in Section 3.4.6.

C. Standards

Minimum Height a. Buildings and/or structured parking in a multifamily development subject to the standards in this section shall comply with the minimum height requirements for the zoning district except when all or a portion of the building and/or structured parking is located within 50 linear feet of:

(1) An existing single-family detached dwelling; or

(2) A lot approved for development as a single-family detached dwelling.
