MR. WILLIAM BUCKLEY, Solicitor, died on the 5th January, 1939, at his residence, 52 South William Street, Dublin. Mr. Buckley was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1889, and practised at 52 South William Street up to 1932, when he retired. MR. JOSEPH M. REILLY, Solicitor, died on the 13th January, 1939, at his residence, Millextown, Ardee, Co. Louth. Mr. Reilly served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. James Smyth, Drogheda, was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1898, and practised at Drogheda. • Correspondence place between the Council and the Chief Registrar, Land Registry, and between the Council and the Irish Land Commission in relation to a letter from a member drawing attention to delay in two cases in which he had experienced delay in having subdivision transfers registered, and reasons for the delays having been furnished in reply, the correspondence terminated. Arising out of this correspondence the following letter has been received :— having taken SUBDIVISIONS OF REGISTERED LAND.

A resolution was submitted from the Galway Sessions Bar, expressing the opinion that the offices of County Registrar and County Sheriff throughout fiire should be held separately. OBITUARY. MR.'TIMOTHY LYNCH, Solicitor, died on the 1st January, 1939, at his residence, Farnham Street, Cavan. Mr. Lynch served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Martin: Tierney,. Gavan, :.\vas admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1930, and practised at Cavan.
