The Chairman, with the consent of the Meeting, signed the audited accounts of the Society for the year ending 30th April, 1939. The Secretary read the report of the Scrutineers of the ballot for Council, which stated that the following had been returned unopposed as Provincial Delegates :— Ulster : John Gillespie ; Munster : Arthur Blood-Smyth; Leinster: John J. \Valsh; Connaught; Christopher E. Legal Practitioners (Qualification) Act, 1929. A " First " Examination in Irish and a " Second " Examination in Irish will be held on Friday and Saturday, the 9th and 10th days of February, 1940. Notices of intention to attend either of the above mentioned examinations should be lodged in the Secretary's Office before the 19th day of January. Hilary Sittings Lectures, 1940. Senior class lectures will begin on Friday, the 12th January. Junior class lectures will begin on Thursday, llth January. President of the Society, Mr. Daniel J. Reilly, accompanied by Mr. T. G. Quirke, LL.D., and Mr. H. P. Mayne, members of the Council, and the Secretary, attended a meeting of the Commission on Vocational Organisation at 2 Merrion Square, and gave evidence in reference to the Society and its work, a memorandum in respect of which had been previously furnished by the Council to the Commission.
