MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. 18th March. Twenty-four members present. Appeals from Circuit Court. The matter of the delay in the hearing of appeals from the Circuit Court pending in the High Court was under discussion, there being at present 150 such appeals. It was resolved to make representations with a view to this matter being remedied. Court of Examiners. Mr. P. R. Boyd was appointed a member of the Court of Examiners in room of the late Mr. P. Scales. OBITUARY. MR. PETER J. McCANN, Solicitor, died on the 10th March, 1937, at his residence, St. Alban's, Naas. Mr. McCann was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1891, and practised as a member of the firm of Brown and McCann at Naas. MR. JOSEPH P. COSGREAVE, Solicitor, died on the 13th March, 1937, at Dublin. Mr. Cosgreave served his apprenticeship with Mr. John F. Cosgreave, Rathkeale; was admitted in Easter Sittings, 1896, and practised at Rathkeale up to 1898, when he retired.

MR. PETER V. DOYLE, Solicitor, died on the 23rd March, 1937. Mr. Doyle served his apprenticeship with Mr. William S. Barrett, Dublin ; was admitted in Easter Sittings, 1931, and practised at 38 Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin, up to 1932, when he retired. NEW MEMBERS. APPOINTMENT. Mr. Thomas G. Clarke, Solicitor, Listowel, has been appointed State Solicitor for County Kerry, in room of the late Mr. Terence J. Listen, Tralee.
