Nature Workshops Explore the world around you right here in Orland Park! Kids will learn about different nature topics as they go in search of bugs, rocks, leaves, and more! Our environmental educator, Brenda George, will lead a different class with each season - sign up for one or all! Note: Please wear gym shoes and long pants. We’ll set out on an insectigation to collect bugs and make a project to take home. Learn different ways seeds travel - go on a seed hunt, andmake a craft. Go on a pumpkin scavenger hunt, dissect a pumpkin, and make a sweet pumpkin treat! Pumpkins PROGRAM#: 73151 // DATE: Oct 24 Discover the many uses of corn! We will be making corn putty and review all the different parts of the corn plant. Corn PROGRAM#: 73152 // DATE: Nov 7 Collect a variety of rocks and pebbles outside on our hike. We will then experiment with different ways to polish and clean them. You’ll get to take your very own pet rock home!
