Canvas for Elementary

On June 20, 2022 the user interface in Canvas was updated for Canyons School District elementary users. Everything teachers know about Canvas and what to do in Canvas hasn't changed, however elementary users will notice an update to the look with the addition of a few small changes regarding how to access certain elements within Canvas.

The expectations for Canvas use has remained the same:

● Teacher account settings are updated with an updated profle picture ● Course navigation is updated and aligns with with district expectations ● At least o ne published course ● Course has a published and updated homepage .

● Content pages to provide information to students and families. ● Canvas assessments (assignments, quizzes, discussions, etc.) ● Using modules to organize and share course content. ● Share content with colleagues and other Canvas users.

If a teacher decides he/she/they do not like the Canvas for Elementary view, and would like to remain on the classic Canvas view, this screencast will demonstrates how to go back to the classic Canvas view
