Each spiked sample was analyzed in duplicate on 3 different days and handled by different operators. 3. Results 3.1 Precision There were found 4 products to contain fructans. Each sample was analyzed in double on 6 different days so 12 analyses in total per sample.

The analytical range as proposed at the AOAC SMPR 2014.002 was 0.03 to 5.0 g/100g reconstituted final product. The concentrations obtained are not really covering this proposed range. The lower the concentration the higher the RDSr as the error of the method increases. At the time of the collaborative study of AOAC 997.08 the RSDr ranged from 2.9 to 5.8%, but concentrations of fructan were higher, 4.6 to 42 g/100g sample. 3.2 Accuracy 9 different matrices were spiked at different levels covering the proposed range from 0.05 to 5 g/100g reconstituted product. The 3 raw materials available were used for this spiking.
