IoT Computers Components Computers Electro Optic & Camera Packaging & Production Motion Automotive New Products conversion, measurement and control solutions – has unveiled the industry’s first Modular Hardware System Common Redundant Power Supply (M-CRPS) capable of delivering 1800 W in the industry’s new, ultra compact 60mm x 185mm form factor. Showcased at this year’s Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit in San Jose, the ultra-efficient proof-of concept technology is also the first power supply in this form factor to be certified to the 80PLUS® Titanium efficiency standard. Operating with efficiencies of up to 96%, the high-power new technology has been developed to address the high-performance, high power-density demands of next-generation computing applications including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). “With growing demand to deliver space-efficient solutions capable of powering the high-performance computing processors behind generative AI and other high-performance cloud computing applications means that data center operators need 80PLUS Titanium efficiency and ultra-high-power densities,” says Richard Caubang, Advanced Energy’s senior director – enterprise & networking product marketing. “As the first and only company to achieve Titanium certification in the new 1U, 185 mm by 60 mm M-CRPS form factor, Advanced Energy is again demonstrating its technology leadership in the area of high-performance, high-power density OCP-compliant supplies for demanding high performance compute applications.” Visitors to the 2023 OCP Global Summit can see the 1800 W M-CRPS proof of concept, 80PLUS® Titanium PSU at the Advanced Energy booth (A7) and the OCP Summit Experience Center, where engineers showcase best-in-class technologies. The TCI 130, TCI 240, and TCI 500(U) are three conduction cooled AC/DC encased power supplies series between 130 and 500 Watt with a 4250 VAC reinforced isolation system. Traco Power’s new TCI line focuses on maximizing the proficiency of conduction cooled systems as it offers superior temperature behavior when mounted on a metal chassis or baseplate. This way the TCI can deliver up to 100% of the maximum output power without the need for a fan. Excellent efficiency of up to 94% allows the TCI series to operate from –30 to +50°C without derating, while going up to +80°C with either load derating or forced cooling. They also meet OVC III requirements and can operate at up to 5000 m altitude. Active power factor correction, EMC characteristics dedicated for applications in industrial/automation and test & measurement.
