Policy Title: ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HONORS COUNCIL An Honors Council, chaired by the Director of Academic and Continuing Education and consisting of instructors of honors courses and one faculty member from each academic division not currently offering an honors course, will coordinate the honors courses and promote an atmosphere of intellectual stimulation and camaraderie among academically talented students. It is the responsibility of the Director and the Council to coordinate the honors courses, programs, and activities; make recommendations concerning additions or deletions of honors courses; and promote student recognition, participation, and achievement in the courses, programs, and/or activities.
