W e are just 100 miles from Bangor so if you can only do a day trip, we are the perfect destination for just that! Unload your sleds in Patten or Shin Pond and hit the trails, our club grooms over 130 miles of trail. Along The Bowlin Matagamon Shin Pond Snowmobile Club trails you have Shin Pond Vil lage, Mt. Chase Lodge, Wilderness Variety Store, Matagamon Camps and Shin Pond Pub all with great hospitality. There are several scenic views along this 50-mile loop. ITS 114 goes south to Whetstone Bridge, Club trail 64 connects to Pat ten, ITS 81/85 takes you to North to Aroostook County, Club Trail 71D will take you to Libby’s Camp “Gateway to the Ghost Trains” and this trip is only 110 miles roundtrip from Shin Pond. During your visit here you will find gorgeous sce nic views, historic sites and great friendly lodges to welcome you. The area offers Polaris Snowmobile Rentals, guided snowmobile tours, various types of lodg ing, fine dining, and trailside restaurants/bar. Sled through Baxter State Park and the Katah din Woods and Waters National Monument. Ice fish area lakes and ponds, XC Ski trails in the area, do a winter hike into Shin Brook Falls!
