Berlin Community School CER Presents

Bricks 4 Kidz® after-school classes build on the universal popularity of LEGO® bricks to deliver a high quality of educational play emphasizing – S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture and Math). Weekly classes encourage teamwork, creativity, spatial thinking, following directions, and more. Working with a partner, your child will experience the hands-on fun of seeing a model come together piece by piece, from concept to completion. Bricks 4 Kidz® teach concepts across a variety of subject areas using LEGO® bricks , gears, bushings, pulleys, levers, axles, batteries, motors, and LEGO® remote controls . Upon model completion, students are encouraged to modify their creations or can dig into our tubs of LEGO® Free Play. Kids learn that with a little imagination and resourcefulness, they can use what you have to create something amazing, while enhancing their knowledge base. Explore sports ranging from gymnastics to biking, mini-golf to airplane acrobatics! This unit is a great way to get “sporty” kids building and get LEGO® fans interested in sports. Some lessons focus on the importance of physical fitness and different aspects of fitness, such as stamina and strength. Other lessons describe the mechanics of the sport, such as the physics involved in golf and the components of a stationary bike. But the best part for the students is the way the models move and the fun they have playing with them after they’re built - hitting a plastic golf ball with the mini-golf model, watching the gymnast spin around the bar and seeing the tiny airplanes spin around and around on the air show model. Maybe they’ll be inspired to try a new sport, or build a model of their favorite sport! Course Title: “Sports Spectacular”

At the end of the 6 week session , students will take home their own custom LEGO ® Mini-figure to keep.

Session Duration: 6 Weeks – Tuesdays Beginning April 17 Cost of Program: $75.00 Per Student
