Want to be on our list? Email us at chebeagueislandumc@gmail.com , and we’ll be sure to sign you up, or visit our website to connect with us. FEBRUARY PARISH HOUSE WORSHIP AND BRUNCH!— Join us every Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. in the Parish House for brunch, followed by worship at 10 a.m. This year, we’ll be doing our Deep Blue Worship again, with intergenerational activities, songs, videos, activities, and more. This is the perfect opportunity for the whole family to check out our Sunday School program, and our kids are excited to share this experience with their friends. All you need is to be a kid at heart to hear the old stories shared in new ways. Your support and presence make a difference! EVENTS IN FEBRUARY Sunday February 4: Following worship (and before the big game!) come to the Parish House to sew bookbags for Guatemala. Fabric and directions are provided; all that is needed is your participation. Bring a sewing machine and help support the mission of Salud y Paz in Guatemala. Saturday February 10: Chebeague UMC is a Support Congregation for Greater Portland Family Promise. GPFP is an interfaith effort to help families experiencing homelessness get back on their feet. Families stay in synagogues and church buildings overnight with volunteer support at dinner time, playing with

children, overnight stays, set up and clean up. This is the perfect volunteer opportunities for families! Kids are encouraged to help and volunteer. Pastor Melissa is hoping to get a group from Chebeague to their volunteer training on February 10 at 9 a.m. at HopeGateWay (509 Forest Ave) in Portland. If you are interested, please contact her at ml.yosuadavis@gmail. com or at 207.846.4106. If you can’t make it, if there is enough interest we can coordinate a volunteer training here on island.

Saturday, February 17 Swami Celebration!: Swami is building an Ashram in Sedona, so save the date for a dinner to support his work and learn more about this project. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website for more details.
