Notes from the Hall

I t’s been a crazy Community Lunch season so far, with each meal generating ever-larger crowds. At times the success feels a bit dizzying! Thanks for your support! We hope to keep pleasing you and serving you the best meal we can for $7! This month Grace and Spec Eaton are sponsoring our Valentine’s Day meal, and we are trying to make it a memorable one. Spec has already dropped a broad hint that his favorite dessert is cheesecake! Next month is our St. Patrick’s Day meal sponsored by Peg Lyons, and April concludes our season with the roast beef meal sponsored by Mark H. Dyer, Inc. We already have several of our sponsorships filled for next year’s lunches, but if you or your company is interested in sponsoring one, give us a shout! We will be reassessing our soup program in an effort to give some relief to the faithful Wednesday soup makers and servers. If you have a soup you would like to make and help serve, we would love to hear from you. We will reimburse you for the ingredients if you save your receipts. We could also use some new hands for clean-up duty, which goes on well past the end of the meal. It’s great to see new faces and new energy in the kitchen!
