Warranty on submersible pumps extended

In what it describes as an “unprece- dented move” in the local pump industry, Integrated Pump Technology announced the extension of the warranty on Grindex submersible pumps from 18 months to 30 months at Electra Mining Africa 2018. Managing Director Colin Adams says that as the official sub-Saharan distribu- tor of Grindex pumps Integrated Pump Technology has always held the belief that these pumps are well suited to the harsh applications found on the African continent. “Traditionally pump companies offer a warranty period of just 12 months, but the Grindex warranty has always been 18 months, and we made the decision to extend this to our customers in Africa as this is the level of confidence we have in the quality of these pumps.” While quality has always been the watchword with Grindex submersible pumps, Adams is quick to note that per- formance and reliability go hand in hand in pumping applications, and for this rea-

son it is critical that the most appropriate pump be selected for a given application. “Integrated Pump Technology is not about selling a pump in a box,” he says. “We consider it important to understand the customer application and its specific requirements, and with this information our technical team is able to specify a pump which we know will match the requirement. By leveraging off our exten- sive knowledge of pumping application we can ensure effective performance with lower total cost of ownership. And this is definitely not something that all pump companies can do.” The Grindex Bravo range has found particular favour in slurry pumping appli- cations in the mining sector as these pumps are designed for moving fluids with high concentrations of abrasives including sand and stones. Robustly constructed, these hardworking pumps offer a maxi- mum submersible depth of 20 m and do not require any support superstructure.
