OUR CYLINDER HEAD REMANUFACTURING PROCESS

• Core inspected for cracks, distortion and thickness

Built to meet or exceed the BS AU257:2002 code of practice* and with a level of quality that equals that of new OEM products at extremely competitive prices, you can be sure that any cylinder head you buy from Euro Car Parts has been fully remanufactured to the highest possible standards. Every cylinder head has been stripped to its component parts, then meticulously cleaned, tested and inspected prior to production. Worn components are either discarded or, where possible, re-engineered to original specification. *The BS AU257:2002 code of practice defines a remanufactured engine as one which has been returned to the manufacturer’s specification to provide levels of performance, reliability and life similar to that of the original engine. It is not a ‘replacement’, ‘exchange’ or ‘rebuilt’ engine.

• Units are dismantled and cleaned in a dedicated area, ensuring no contamination during production • Cleaning carried out in stages to ensure all bores and oil galleries are totally clean • Aluminium heads cleaned separately • After cleaning, heads re-examined for damage or cracks, then pressure-tested to ensure no internal or hair-line cracks have been overlooked • Heads shot-blasted with a soft-blast medium, especially developed to provide an ‘as new’ finish, without damaging the integrity of the metal surfaces
