PETERBOROUGH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

FOREWORD BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PETERBOROUGH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

As we enter season 2014-2015 I would like to wish all the Clubs well in our Cup Competitions for the forthcoming season.

I ask that all Club Secretaries and Team Managers read and familiarise themselves with the Rule book prior to the first round of our competitions. A little time reading through and checking the rules should help avoid unnecessary and costly errors. The Peterborough Football Association took the decision in order to help the administration of clubs to reduce the fines in order to aid. Clubs are asked that if they are uncertain and rather than face unnecessary fines to contact their League Secretary and the General Secretary.

Please remember we are and should always be approachable to talk about the competition you have entered. Visit our web site www.peterboroughfootball.co.uk and we can also be found on Full-Time

In this time where social media is accessable to all you can also find and contact us via our face book page and Twitter, use these tools to communicate your thoughts and ideas to us. Please remember as Affiliated Clubs your members have a responsibility when using Social Networks and keep your comments positive and have your say.

I wish you all a good season in your respective league campaigns and hope that headlines are made on the pitch surrounding good football and not on and off the pitch for bad behavior.

We have a good number of young Referee’s coming into the Game please show them your support as they too strive to improve, help them by following the F.A Respect guidelines this can only improve the game at grass roots level. I would like to thank all referee’s that are supporting our Cup competitions, at a time when refereeing in the country is still facing a decline we must acknowledge the hard work and efforts in the city to stem this tide largely by Robert Windle and his team. The Peterborough Football Association is an open organization and welcome the interest and interaction with all. If you feel you have something to add to the game and would like to get involved with football locally please contact the General Secretary, we want to safeguard the future of football in the city not just for the current the generation but for those not yet in the game and for the generations that will follow.

Finally have a great season and good luck.
