OPTL Upgrade An OPTL upgrade is the ideal solution to bring your existing two man MOT bay up to one-person MOT status without buying a complete new ATL. It is also an opportunity to replace old MOT equipment and bring it up to the latest DVSA requirements with minimum disruption, we can often replace equipment with little or no groundworks (subject to survey). Options are available for pit, four post lift and scissor lift bays and we can provide a free site survey and planning service to assist you in bringing your bay up to the latest specification. Upgrade includes OPTL lift with radius plates and pit play detectors, manual jacking beam, headlight beam tester, brake pedal depressor and 2 convex mirrors. Brake Tester Upgrade Upgrading to a connected brake tester can have significant advantages by linking equipment to the MOT test system (MTS). This includes less data entry errors along with faster and simpler testing. The DVSA have introduced this change to ensure that the annual MOTs keep pace with modern testing standards and vehicles. Several of our connected brake testers can be installed with minimum groundworks (subject to survey). Upgrade includes DVSA approved connected brake tester displaying through existing PC or emissions tester, other display options are available.
