VICTORIA BUSHNELL Freestyle/Distance/ IM PCSC First Team 2001

Albuquerque, NM Albuquerque Academy Ht: 5-8 Yr. So Exp: 2V

2001-02: Recorded two top-five finishes at the 2002 PCSC Championships.. . Swam a 4:38.41 in the 400 Individual Medley which was a season's second best for USD... Also clocked three other top three USD season times; 05: 11.47 in the 500 Freestyle, 10:45.74 in the 1000 Freestyle, and a 17:48.42 time in the 1650 Freestyle at the Speedo Cup. 2000-01: Selected USD Swimmer of the Year... Earned AII-PCSC First Team

honors in her freshman campaign ... Placed ist in the 500 Free (4:58.20), ist in the 1650 Free (17:08.79) and 2 nd in the 400 IM (4: 26.88) at the PCSC's.. . Bushnell also led USD to a ist place finish in the 800 Free Relay (7: 37.10) which was good enough to rewrite the USD and PCSC record books... In addition, Bushnell set USD school records in the 500 Free (4 :58.20), 1000 Free (10:17.95) and 1650 Free (17:08.79). Prep: Attended Albuquerque Academy where she was a four-year letterwinner on the swim team... Was a national junior qualifier.. . Was a three-time team MVP at Albuquerque Academy and helped the team place 3 rd in state as a sophomore .. . Coached by Pat Scanlon . Personal: Chose USD for its strong academic program and swimming team... Tori was also recruited by Miami of Ohio and Boston College... Born August 8, 1982 in Boston, MA... Parents are Paul and Kathleen Bushnell.

Prep: A four-year letter winner while attending Rancho Buena Vista High School. .. Placed second at CIF Finals as a junior and senior... Named Union Tribune Athlete of the Week. Her 58 .36 100 Butterfly time at the Speedo Cup (11-30-01) and her 2:11.22 time in the 200 Butterfly at the 2002 PCSC Championships were both top three USD team high's in 2001-02. Prep: Set a school record in the 200 Individual Medley while attending Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado... Placed ist in the 100 Fly at the State Championships... Served as team captain ... Swam with the Tops Club Team . Personal: Born on April 22, 1983... Undecided on a major.. . Chose to attend USD for the school location and swimming program.
