ILEA DORSEY Freestyle PCSC First Team 2002, 00

Escondido, CA Escondido HS Ht: 5-5 Yr. Sr Exp: 4V

2001-02: Swam a season best 24.79 in the 50 Freestyle in the 2002 Champion– ships... Earned AII-PCSC First Team honors for the second time during her four– year career as a Torero... Used as a sprinter and specialized in the 50 Freestyle... Placed second out of eight swimmers in the 50 Freestyle (25.34) in a dual meet with San Diego State (10-11-01). 2000-01: A strong freestyle swimmer for the Toreros... Swam well in the 2001 PCSC Championships; placed 12 th in the 100 Freestyle (53 .50), 19 th in the 50 Freestyle (25.13) and 16 th in the 200 Freestyle event (2:00.78). 1999-00: Earned AII-PCSC First Team honors at the 2000 Championships... Dorsey and teammates Kaitlin Bourne, Meredith Slattery and Jamie Lobdell placed first in the 200 Free Relay (1 :37.05), ahead of Pepperdine and UCSD... Dorsey also placed 14 th in the 50 Free event (25.09). 1998-99: Freshman sprinter established season-bests in the 50 Free (24.72) and placed 10 th at the 1999 PCSC Championships and also placed 11 th in the 100 Free (53.75). Prep: Captain at Escondido High School, leading team to 3 rd place Avocado League finish and ist place showing at CIF as a senior... CIF/League champion in the 50 and 100 meter Free as a senior... Escondido HS Athlete of the Year and three-time MVP... Prep Athlete of the Week, North County Times and San Diego Union Tribune Scholar-Athlete of the Week.. . Two sport letter-winner (Water Polo, 2 Years). Personal: Business Administration major with a Marketing emphasis.. . Chose to attend USD for the academ– ics, small class sizes and beautiful campus... Was also recruited by UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, Utah, Iowa and CS Northridge... Born on November 10 th , 1980 in Escondido, California.

2001-02: For the third time in her four-year USD career, Lodbell earned AII– PCSC honors... Shared USD Most Valuable Swimmer honors.. . Finished ist in the 50 Freestyle (24.15) at the PCSC Championships, which was tops amongst 94 other competitors... Finished 3 rd overall in the 100 Freestyle (52.71) at the Championships... Helped USD set a new school record in the 400 Free Relay

(3 :29 .18) at the PCSC's... Won two events, 100 Back (1 :02 .09) and 50 Free (25 .33), helping USD rout Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine (1-12-02)... Lobdell helped the USD 400 Medley Relay team post a season best time of 4:01.06 at the Speedo Cup. 2000-01: Named AII -PCSC First Team while leading USD to three relay championships, 200 Free Relay (1:35.68), 400 Free Relay (3:29.29) and the 800 Free Relay (7:37.10). All three times set new USD records and the 200 Free Relay and 800 Free Relay times set new PCSC records... Individually, placed 4 th in the 100 Free (52.92), 5 th in the 50 Free (24.40) and 6 th in the 200 Free (1 :55 .85). 1999-00: Earned AII-PCSC First Team honors at the 2000 Championships... Finished 1 st in three USD relay events ... 200 Free Relay (1:35 .68), 400 Free Relay (3 :30 .67) and the 800 Free Relay (7:38.99) ... The 400 Free Relay and the 800 Free Relay were good enough to rewrite the USD record books. 1998-99: Placed 14 th in the 100 Free (53.92), 13 th in the 200 Free (1:56.77), and 15 th in the 500 Free (5:09.68) at the PCSC Championships as a freshman .
