Lobdell continued... Prep: Named a national All-American after leading Gig Harbor High School to a first place state finish as a senior... Three-year member of six winning relay teams... Placed 3 rd in the 100 Free as a junior, 4 th as a senior... Team MVP and won Coaches Award as a senior. Personal: Biology major and chemistry minor... Loves to snowboard and wakeboard .. . Chose USD for the atmosphere and academics... Also recruited by Oregon State... Parents are John and Judy Lobdell .. . Born October 25, 1979 in Mt. Vernon, WA.

2001 America Short Course Championship Participant

2001-02: Named to the AII-PCSC Academic team for the fourth time... Earned AII-PCSC First Team honors for the second straight season .. . Took 2 nd in the 50

Freestyle (24.30), 3 rd in the 100 Butterfly (58.54) and placed 7 th out of 49 competitors in the 100 Freestyle at the 2002 PCSC Championships... Her 100 Backstroke time as a senior of 59 .57 ranked 1st for any Torero in 2001-02 ... Helped USO capture 1st in both the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:35 .92) and the 400 Freestyle Relay (3:29 .18) at the PCSC Championships... Rus helped the USO 400 Medley Relay team post a season best time of 4:01.06 at the Speedo Cup.

2000-01: Collected USD's Most Improved Swimmer Award, AII– PCSC Academic Honors and named First Team AII-PCSC at the 2001 Championships... Led three USO relay teams to champion– ships; 200 Free Relay (1:35.68), 200 Medley Relay (1:47.48) and the 400 Medley Relay (3.52.73) ... The 200 Free Relay and the 400 Medley times were new USO school records, while the 1:35.68 time the 200 Free Relay was a new conference record as well .. . Individually as the PCSC's, Rus placed 4 th in the 50 Free (24.27), 4 th in the 100 Fly (58.20) and 7 th in the 100 Breast (1:08.73) ... Swam times of 23.9 in the 50 Free, 56 in the 100 Fly and 52 in the 100 Free at the American Short Course Championships. 1999-00: Had a strong showing in the 2000 PCSC Champion– ships... Finished 9 th in the 100 Fly, 11th in the 100 Breaststroke and 16 th in the 200 Individual Medley. 1998-99: Posted fastest regular season 100 Breaststroke time for USO with a 1:07.42 swim at Pepperdine (11-14-98), also swam the 200 Breast in 2:25 .53 against the Waves... Placed 11 th in the 100 and 17 th in the 200 Breast at the 1999 PCSC's as a freshman. Prep: Led 200 Medley team to 1st place finish at State Champion– ships while attending St. Thomas Aquinas High School ... Took 3 rd place in the 100 Breaststroke as a senior... Named All-County

Rus was a four-time PCSC All-Academic Selection

Swimmer of the Year while earning All-American Honorable Mention accolades as a senior... As a junior, Rus won the State Championship in the 100 Breaststroke. Personal: Named AII-PCSC Academic all four years while swimming for USO... Earned Dean's List recognition during all six semesters through her junior year... Psychology (Pre-Med) major with a Biology and Chemistry minor... Chose to attend USO for the beautiful campus, academics and swim program... Parents are Steve and Lynn Rus...
