KEVIN McGARRY Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Kevin begins his 12th season on the USD staff. This will be his 9th year as the defensive coordinator. In addition to his on-the-field duties, Kevin is also responsible for recruiting and is the liaison for the Alumni Club. Kevin was a standout player at USD as well. He was co-defensive player of the year in 1977. He also is a graduate of USD's School of Education with a master's degree in Educational Administration. TIM ODER Defensive Line Tim will be entering his 4th season with the Toreros. A graduate of Northern Arizona University where he played football, Tim has also coached at the high school and college level prior to coming to USD. Tim is also on the faculty at Fallbrook High School where he is a history teacher and the Head Track Coach. Last year's team won the San Diego Section CIFTrack and Field Championship and Tim was chosen as CIF Coach of the Year.

LARRY CAUDILLO

Special Teams Coordinator and Inside Linebackers Larry is starting his 15th season on the USD football staff. Larry is moving back to the defensive side of the ball after a two year stint as the offensive coordinator. Along with coaching the inside linebackers, Larry will be in charge of Torero special teams. Larry played football and baseball for USD in the early 1970s and during the spring he is the women's softball coach. MIKE RISH Wide Receivers and Quarterbacks Mike is beginning his 6th season as the receiver coach for the Toreros. Mike played for USD from 1979-83 and is the all-time career leader in receptions, T.D.s, and receiving yardage. Mike graduated from USD with an accounting degree and is working full-time as a mortgage banking executive. This is Ken's first year on the USD coaching staff, although e is no stranger to the program. Ken just finished a very successful career for the Toreros starting at wide receiver for the last four seasons. Ken was also a very talented punt and kick returner, and was selected Special Teams Player of the Year in 1988. Ken has just completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and is currently enrolled in the USD graduate school of education. ERNIE MONFILETTO Offensive Line Ernie comes to the USD staff after spending the previous four seasons playing against the Toreros. A four year starter for Menlo College at offensive guard, he will be assisting Coach Fogarty with the offensive line. Ernie received his B.A. in Humanities with a concentration in History. He plans to pursue a Master's degree in Education beginning this fall. KEN ZAMPESE Defensive Backs

JACK RUBIDOUX Outside Linebackers

Jack is in his 5th season at USD. Jack, a very good teacher of fundamentals, will be working with the outside linebackers. A San Diego native, Jack graduated from USD in 1979 with a B.A. in Social Science. He has an extensive background in high school coaching in football and baseball. He presently works full-time for

General Dynamics. STEVE PARIS Running Backs

Steve joins the USD staff after spending 2 years as an under- graduate assistant coach at San Jose State University, where he just completed his degree in English. Along with his duties as running back coach, Steve will also be in charge of all the equipment for the football program. Steve will be starting his first year in the USD school of education master's program this fall.
