December News 2016 About the Sumner Senior Center Welcome to the Sumner Senior Center! The activities and services of the Center are available to anyone 55 years of age and older. If you are looking for a Senior Center that offers positive changes, wonderful instructors, social interaction and personal training, then our Center is the place for you. Here at the Sumner Senior Center we take pride in assisting you with all the best possible resources we can find. We offer an array of different activities and services that we think will benefit you not only today, but on down the road. You are sure to enjoy interacting with people from your own community. Feel free to inquire about any of the resources that we are currently offering. Trips this month include: Shopping at the Centralia Factory Outlet mall on the 8th. Going to the Christmas Ship Festival on the 11th and heading to the Singing Christmas Tree on the 16th. These trips are guaranteed to put you in the Christmas spirit! Don’t forget, our monthly casino trips will be to the Lucky Eagle on the 8th and the Red Wind on the 22nd. Sign up in the activities book as these trips will fill up fast! Please note, our annual Holiday Luncheon & Santa Pics will be held on Friday, Dec. 16th. Get here early and get a spot! On Monday, Dec. 19th join us for Christmas caroling with the Girl Scouts . Don’t miss out on our Noon Year’s Eve party on the 30th with Johnny “Crash”. Ball drops at noon! As always, bring your friends and enjoy good traditional meals, great entertainment and lot’s of fun.

Take advantage of our classes & workshops at the SSC. On the 1st we will have a Smartphone class, on the 9th we will have hearing aid checks and on the 12th we will provide haircuts for $5! Mark you calendar, Priority Footwear we will be here on the13th to provide fittings for diabetic shoes. Get a new pair of shoes on Medi- care! Please note, Creative Journaling class is offered here on Wednesdays, to show us how to record our joys through art work and writing. Let’s get creative! Together, we can make your Senior Center the best place to have fun in Sumner!
